Get ready to indulge in a family heirloom - the perfect Acai Bowl recipe passed down from our kin for generations. It's a scrumptious and straightforward recipe that has been a hit with our family since childhood. We used to gobble up this goodness with our cousins at our grandparent's farm, nestled deep in the heart of the Amazon Forest.
I have to confess, in the past, adding toppings to bowls wasn't a common practice; we used to just have freshly picked acai with bananas and lots of sugar! Yuk!
Hooray for our quest towards healthier living! Here's a fab basic recipe that's a snap to make, but let's take it up a notch with a parade of healthy toppings :)
Ingredients:
2 x 100 ml Sachets of Organic Acai & Co Pulp,
1/2 Banana
100 ml of water/coconut milk or a liquid of your choice
1 tbsp of Honey/Agave Nectar/Maple Syrup... any of your choice - Just not sugar, please :)
Method:
Blend all ingredients together until smooth and scoop it out to put it on a bowl.
(This recipe will be more liquidy, that's how we had it as kids, more like a drink than a thick ice-cream consistency. But if this is not for you, isntead of half of a banana ass 1 x frozen banana, this will give you a thick consistency that you are looking for)!
Spice up your dish with your all-time fruity faves! But if the strawberries are MIA, why not go for whatever's in season? Just tossin' out ideas!
